Chandelier restoration

In February of 2004 I started to work in the restoration business (strictly related to Chandeliers), in one of most the famous atelier in Turin, called Reale Restauri. I especially formed on metals, glass and crystal. I am specialized in antique chandeliers, the ones with historic or design relevance, to treat them according to restoring criteria: analysis, stabilization, conservation, cleaning e wiring. I learned the profession on the field, without any specific studies, just a lot of practice.

In this company I had the opportunity to work on very important commissions: a big part of the chandeliers in Palazzo Reale

and also in Palazzo Madama, and many other private customers.

In 2009, I left this job to focus on my studies field (IT), keeping this activity as a private hobby, and doing little works for me and my friends.

After 5 years, in 2014 I had the opportunity to come back to Reale Restauri for a while. I also experienced on how to build new ones (ex novo):

and work again on big commissions such as Villa d’Este in Como and Casa Garibaldi Binası in Istanbul:

I left this this job again in 2015 to return to work in IT, for economic reasons, but I still consider it as one of the best part of my life: challenging, formative and inspiring. Thanks to my mentor, Franco!
